You can delete your Job Hunt OS account and associated personal data immediately inside the app, or email us if you cannot access your account. These instructions work for email, Apple, and Facebook Login accounts.
No login is required to use these instructions. Never send us your password, Apple credentials, or Facebook credentials.
How to delete your account
- In Job Hunt OS, open Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account, review what will be removed, type DELETE, and confirm. The deletion process starts immediately.
- If you cannot access the app, email us from the address associated with your Job Hunt OS account.
- Use the subject Job Hunt OS Data Deletion Request and tell us the account email or sign-in provider.
- Complete any reasonable identity check we request. We will never ask for your password.
What we delete
After verification, we delete or irreversibly anonymise your Job Hunt OS profile, authentication link, CVs and uploaded files, saved job activity, applications, and progress data owned by the app account, unless a record must be retained for a lawful reason. Shared community, recruitment, coaching, or support records that are not owned by the app account may be retained, anonymised, or reviewed separately under an applicable legal basis.
Timing and limited retention
In-app account deletion starts immediately after you type DELETE and confirm. For requests sent to support, we acknowledge and respond to verified requests within 30 days and schedule permanent erasure from active systems within 90 days. Backup copies expire through normal backup rotation. We may retain limited records when required for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute, or security purposes, and restrict those records from ordinary use.
Facebook and Apple accounts
Where a Facebook identity is linked, deleting the account revokes Job Hunt OS’s Facebook permissions and disconnects Job Hunt OS from that Facebook account before local account data is erased. Apple-linked self-service deletion similarly revokes the Job Hunt OS authorization after fresh confirmation. It does not delete your Facebook or Apple account itself. You can also remove Job Hunt OS from your Facebook or Apple connected-app settings; doing so removes the sign-in connection but may not delete data already stored by Job Hunt OS, so send the request above if you want that data erased.
